Evaluation of the NGO Foundations commissioned by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs:

The ministry commissioned an evaluation of the Siemenpuu Foundation and its two sister foundations, Abilis and KIOS in 2008. All the three foundations channel small scale funding to the civil society in the South. Siemenpuu focuses on environmental activities, Abilis supports disabled people and KIOS works in the field of human rights. The evaluation analysed the political coherence, efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the foundations as recipients of development cooperation funding from the ministry.
